It is nothing new for anyone nowadays that criminal attacks occur in different ways, however, 94% of attempts always with the same modus operandi, trying to deceive the ordinance by telling a “story” whether by posing as a relative, friend, broker, NET technician, Eletropaulo, service provider, among others.

Lack of clear preventive safety procedures and rules

Examples of recommendations we made in our lectures:

1) For the entry of a third “unknown” person into the apartment without the presence of the resident, it will be mandatory that the resident deliver a prior written authorization at the concierge, a document that must contain the personal data of the visitor and companion, if any.
2) The ordinance may not allow the entry of ANYONE, by telephone (EXTERNAL CONNECTION), only by prior authorization or by internal communication (intercom).
3) All residents must be registered and photographed using the computerized access control system.
4) ALL people circulating in the condominium must be registered and photographed in a local database (computerized access control system).
5) People with permanent release, usually parents, siblings, partners and close family members, should be included in the computerized database.
6) It will be forbidden for the residents to leave the keys of the apartment at the entrance.
7) It will be prohibited for residents to leave belongings of any order in possession of the ordinance.
8) If possible, the condominium should assign a professional to accompany the couriers or service providers to the apartment door, and create a routine of calls through the intercom every 30 min, to check that everything is ok.
