ALARM AND CAMERA MONITORING

Every day new companies specialize in the field of security appear. The use of security guards in the commercial and even residential spheres was already more common. However, with the passage of time and the advancement of technology, such a service has been replaced by electronic monitoring.

Although more efficient and cheaper, electronic monitoring brings greater complexity to the service provider's business environment, which must be prepared for these challenges.

In this post, we point out three aspects that should be observed:

Be willing to invest in technology

Only through investment in technology is it possible to set up an effective monitoring program. The security system covers not only the equipment that is in the customer's home, but also those that make up the 24-hour monitoring center. This system includes alarm panels, different types of sensors, cameras, image monitoring, mobile applications, etc. It is important to think about these resources in an integrated manner, in order to provide total control for the company and also allow the user to access the information remotely. The monitoring platform used by the company is the component that will integrate and orchestrate all this technology and, therefore, deserves special attention when contracting.

To be able to carry out constant training

Although technology is crucial, it is the human body that will operate it and make decisions for actions. In this sense, it is essential that the operational procedures are clear and that the manager of the security company prepares its employees to deal with all the components of the monitoring system. These professionals must be prepared to attend any type of event that the security platform software points out and, mainly, to know how to act in cases of failures or falls in the communication between the property and the security company.

In addition, as technology evolves, employees must move forward together. Hence the need to conduct training and qualifications frequently. In this way, in addition to being prepared and capable, they will feel secure in their work and will provide a better service to their customers.

Knowing how to deal with risk events

Then, there is a need to have a good job from the Human Resources team. This department must ensure the quality of life, comfort and psychological preparation of the operator team, the prompt response team and other professionals exposed to risks, so that they know how to react well to any type of event in which they are triggered. As we discussed above, employees are still more important than the technology of a monitoring system. After all, in a risky situation, they will be the ones who will make the decisions related to the occurrence and make themselves available to the clients of the security company.
